Misc. Notes
Kryner/Cryner/Creiner/Crinor

The family lived in Hawkins Co., TN. This area was originally part of Sullivan Co., which in turn was originally from NC land. The Criner helped found Hawkins Co, which means they lived there around 1787. The family later moved to Lincoln, Wayne, Henderson and Chester Counties in TN.

The wife situation isn’t correct - check the wedding dates and death dates of the two wives (unless he divorced but this is unlikely). There were multiple John Anderson Criners, and it is difficult to keep them separate in the records.

There is a John Criner listed in the 1800 census for Pennsylvania, Philadelphia , New Market Ward (note the ward name is the name of the town Isaac helped found in AL)

***************************
In 1808 the heirs of John Criner (John, Joseph, George, Sally, Rebecca, and Hannah Criner) sold 196 acres in Big Creek, TN.

A Nancy Criner married a Richard Buckhanan in 1820 in Madison Co. (AL) and married a Wiley Peevy in 1825 in Madison Co. (AL). I assume this is John’s daughter (but no guarantee).

A George Criner married a Sally Simpson in 1820 in Madison Co. (AL). I have no idea who this George is...Criner is not a common name so its very possible that he is related to John in some way but how is unknown.

There was a Elizabeth Criner born 1762 and died 17 Aug 1846 and is buried in the Graveyard Hill Cem at New Market ALA. She married a William Brown who died 1816. They had a daughter Mary Polly Brown born 1786 and died 1873 New Market.
