Prospective Army Students

Why Choose Rensselaer

Rensselaer is a world class institution and future USMA instructors should give strong consideration to choosing RPI for several reasons.

First, there is definite value in being surrounded by faculty and fellow students who are familiar with the ACS program. RPI, as being one of USMA's foundation schools for the Math department, offers tremendous academic and administrative support to Army students. Whatever the situation, they have seen it before and are ready to help.

Second, RPI's proximity to military services make maintaining your Comprehensive Soldier and Family fitness seamless as you transition from an installation duty station to an academic environment. With treatment facilities, PX's, transportation and finance offices in Saratoga Springs, you are never far from meeting your military requirements of readiness.

Lastly, as mentioned above, RPI offers a world class academic experience. The instruction you will receive and the mentorship offered from Senior Faculty will set you up for success, not only as an instructor at USMA, but for the rest of your professional career, in or out of the Army.

Whichever school you choose, Congratulations on your acceptance into the Math Department at USMA. If you do choose Rensselear, next we'll discuss some helpful TTP's, need to know information and some things that aren't specifically covered in your PCS orders.
