Assignment:
Function: A slide show permits the designer to display different images
in succession, with links from the images to subsidiary pages. A slide
show is useful as a navigation device because it permits the user to
preview the content of each of several subsidiary pages and to access
those pages directly from the images. In addition, the slide show,
unlike the rotating billboard, gives the user control of the succession
of images via Previous and Next or Backward and Forward text or image
buttons.
Instructions: Select three or more images of the same size and shape
and use these images to create a slide show that preloads your images
in one array and assigns each image to a URL in another array and use
these images and these arrays to create a slide show with additional
enhancements that permit users to continuously cycle through your
images (5 and 6, Archive 9f) and/or show the appropriate alt tag for
each image (9 and 10, Archive9i) and the Baltic Sea Slideshow (11
through 14).
