Directions to Police Academy and State Forensic Laboratory.

From Albany : If you don't want to go to RPI first, you can meet us at the State Police Academy directly.

The State Office Campus is located between Western and Washington avenue and you can enter the state office campus from either side.

The State Police Academy is located on the Western edge of the State Office Campus (the side Nearest to SUNY Albany, ands closest to Washington Ave. )

Construction on the State Campus loop may make this a little tricky, but there are signs in the Office Campus telling where buildings are

Additional Considerations : Bring a camera if you want to snap some pictures, However, no pictures can be taken inside the building for security reasons.

There is also a gift store if you are interested in purchasing a souvenir. Baseball caps run about $14, and t-shirts and sweatshirts are available from $12 to $30. All proceeds benefit a benevolent organization associated with the State Police which helps police officers and their families in times of crises.

No lunch will be available for either tour, as the State Police Academy no longer offers this perk due to disruption of schedules in the past.
