- Deployed several large Linux clusters for scientific
computing applications.
- Supervised students developing means to integrate
Globus security with Kerberos.
- Modified OpenAFS file server to support large
files.
- Participated in Year 2000 inventory, assessment,
and testing.
- Explored the use of DCE/DFS as a replacement for
AFS.
- Integrated a 36-node IBM SP2 into the Rensselaer
Computing System and AFS cell.
- Designed, implemented, and deployed various tools
for Unix for application setup, session management, file tree
maintenance, and network access control.
- Participated in planning and implementing the
Rensselaer Computing System network of Unix workstations for
instructional computing.
- Migrated a graphical finite-element analysis
program from Primos to VAX/VMS.
- Implemented a graphics metafile plotting
system.
