The Molecularium® Project at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute opens the world of atoms and molecules to the worldwide public in a way that has never before been accessible. It is a flagship project of Rensselaer's NSF-funded Nanotechnology Center for Directed Assembly of Nanostructures. Driven by our enthusiasm about atoms and molecules, and how they constitute all matter, and motivated by the need to excite the next generation about the science of atoms and molecules and the world they make, we embarked on a journey to tell the story of atoms and molecules in a unique way. The result is the Molecularium Project with its digital-dome and IMAX movies, and its high-definition videos, in which animated atom characters tell their story and bring people into unseen worlds in a way that is musical and magical! This is scientific education through exciting entertainment for all - "stealth education".
The Project is aimed at promoting science literacy among children by means of an animation movies. For more information on the molecularium project please visit the following links.
