Rob Roy is currently an Attending Anesthesiologist at Albany Medical Center Hospital. He is also an Active Professor Emeritus in Biomedical Engineering at Rensselaer.

His research interests combine the medical problems of the anesthesiologist and critical care specialist with the disciplines of signal processing, pattern recognition, parameter estimation, and modern control systems. He has published extensively in the areas of pattern recognition, control systems, radar processing, and process identification.
