Use AMPL to solve the oil refinery problem from Ecker and Kupferschmid (page 18), the coal burning model of question 2.15 from Ecker and Kupferschmid, and solve question 1.1 from the AMPL text. Turn in the final model for each question. Note that question 2.15 was on Exam 1, so the model is in the solution set, which is on reserve in the library.
Answer questions 5.1 and 5.7 from Ecker and Kupferschmid, Chapter~5.
In addition, read sections 5.1 to 5.4 in the text.
