Final Exam Notes

• Time and location: The final exam is on Wednesday, December 15, from 2:00 to 5:00PM in Sage 3303.

• Crib sheet: You may bring three $8\frac{1}{2}\times 11$ sheets of handwritten notes to the exam. You may write on both sides of the sheets.

• Old exams: The fall 1998 final exam is available from the course webpage:

  The solutions to this semester's exam 1, exam 2, and exam 3 are available.

• Review: Thursday's recitations will be review. Jason will have a review session in Amos Eaton 214 from 6-9pm on Monday. Andrew will have a review session in Carnegie 101 from 6-8pm on Tuesday. You are welcome to attend either (or both) review sessions. If you want additional help, contact your TA or me.

• The questions: The level of the questions will be similar to the ones in the text. Unlike the quiz questions, the exam questions will not be based directly on the questions in the text.

• Material: You are responsible for sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.4, 7.8, 8.1, 8.2, 10.1-10.5, 11.1, 11.2, 11.6, 11.8, 11.9, 11.10, 11.12, 4.9, Chapters 12 and 13, and sections 16.6, 14.1, and 14.3. In §11.6, you do not need to know the root test. You should know the integral test from §11.3, the comparison test from §11.4, and the alternating series test from §11.5 in enough detail to be able to answer the listed questions in the later sections.

• Gateway exams: The final day to take the Gateway exam is now Friday, 10th December. Here is an up-to-date listing of possible times. Currently, the times for Friday are 8am to 12 noon, in AE215.

• Grades: We hope to have your grade for everything except the final available Friday or over the weekend. Your course grade will be available by Friday 17th or Saturday 18th December. If you think we have any of your scores wrong, please let us know as soon as possible. The grades will be accessible from the course web page:
