This is the official web page for MATH 6300.  Please consult this page regularly  to see all reading assignments and homeworks in a much clearer format than whatever I scrawl on the chalkboard.  Check the "last updated" date above to see whether the new information pertaining to the last class has been entered.

Announcements

• Office hours will be held at usual times on the week of December 12.
  
• The fourth homework can be submitted anytime by 5 PM on December 16.  During the period December 9-16, I will try to grade homeworks received by the next business day.  I will then report to you your total homework score and whether you are eligible to waive the final exam, and then you will be asked to respond by 5 PM on December 19 whether you wish to take the final exam at 3 PM on December 20 (which may be written or oral, depending on the number of people taking it).

Safari seems to have some trouble with opening the PDF files, but I can get it to work if I simply press return in the URL bar after the complaint of not finding the file.  Netscape and Internet Explorer seem to find the files with no problems.
