PS2 DDR PARTY COLLECTION
File Song Summary Steps Combo Freeze Difficulty
7-2ALLIN Let's Get Down NEW! This song was harder than I thought it would be to edit because it repeats itself so much at the end.

CHAINSAW.ZIP Freedom Party Collection fires away with several songs that are brand new to DDR. One of them, Freedom, has become my favorite BeForU tune. I just wonder if anyone else even bought the game... Will anyone else ever try this edit?

PS2 DDR EXTREME JPN
File Song Summary Steps Combo Freeze Difficulty
AHBAYSAY.ZIP Un Deux Trois Once again, a great new song has some pretty unmemorable steps. This edit bumps the difficulty up to acceptable notches.

NO!.ZIP Max Period I can't believe I made an edit for this. I absoutely hated this song when I first played it on Extreme, but I think I've learned that the reason I hated it was because the steps were flat-out awful. I still don't think the song is good (worst of the Max's IMO), but my edit steps at least make it fun to play (and possible without memorization!). What do you think?

USE-HIPS.ZIP Think Ya Better D 3 friends and myself sat down one evening and decided to make an edit collectively. You may think that having 4 people give input to the same edit would end up in disaster, but it really turned out fantastic. Looking at the edit, you can identify many different step patterns from other ddr songs in it.... Feeling of Love, Afronova, Groove, Xenon, Rock Beat, Telephone Operator and others. It's just not as overly obnoxious as it is in Dance Dance Revolution. This edit was also the quickest edit I'd ever made. Usually it takes me much longer to make an edit, but with 4 people, the troubleshooting part was much easier. I highly recommend getting a group of DDR friends together and making a collective edit!

AFUNEDIT.ZIP A Stupid Barber Although Konami seemed to get it right with the steps for Scorching Moon, they dropped the ball on other songs like A Stupid Barber, which could have been a lot harder. This is one of my favorite 'new' songs in Extreme.

PS2 DDR MAX2 JPN
File Song Summary Steps Combo Freeze Difficulty
DECISION.ZIP Matsurai Japan -from nonstop megamix- Over half of the original steps in this song are simple quarter notes, so I attempted to fix that problem with this edit. This is one of my favorite songs in 7th Mix, and it's becoming one of my favorite edits.

MAXX-NUB.ZIP Maxx Unlimited A request from Nublius brought about this edit. After some thought, I remade this edit to be easier. It seemed more fun and more playable for the masses this way.

ONEKIND.ZIP Kind Lady (Interlude) We got kind of short-changed with this song, didn't we? Halfway through an awesome remix of Kind Lady, they decide to return to the original Kind Lady... steps and all! Talk about lazy! Well, I set out to fix that with this edit. I kept the exact same steps for the 1st half of the song, and added a completely new 2nd half. This is similar to my Sexy Planet Momo steps, since it boosts the difficulty a bit while keeping the spirit of the original steps. Listen for the nice 'audio' reward for a full combo in this edit!

TOOKIND.ZIP Kind Lady (Interlude) One of my goals with my original Kind Lady Interlude edit was to make it a 300 combo song, but that prevented me from putting many steps and patterns that would really challenge someone. So I created this edit. It's based on the first, but really cranks up the difficulty. You can consider this the 'oni' version of my ONEKIND edit. Can you alternate feet throughout the whole first section?

DEADSEXY.ZIP Sexy Planet momo remix I love the remix of Sexy Planet, and while the original steps are fun, they aren't much of a challenge. I just wanted to add a little bit more 'oomph' to it, while still keeping the spirit of the original steps. This is my favorite edit so far.

PROPBLST.ZIP Overblast! The steps for many, if not all, of the new songs on the US version of DDR Max were totally lacking in difficulty. There was so much potential to Overblast, but I felt it was wasted with the original steps. Listen to the beat carefully to get the steps right in this edit!

PS2 DDR MAX USA
File Song Summary Steps Combo Freeze Difficulty
PROPER.ZIP Sandstorm While others had long since gotten sick of this song, it was relatively new to me when DDR Max came out in the USA. I had only heard it from a DWI a friend had sent me. The DWI steps didn't really seem to exploit the song to it's fullest, so I decided to make a beast of an edit in the style of the tougher Bemaniruler DWIs. I had originally designed this for use with a controller... not for feet. But maybe someone can pass it with their feet and prove me wrong. This was my first edit ever.

Some things for edit newbies:

- .gme files are a format which the Dex Drive uses.
- .mcs files are a format which PSXGE uses. This program can also recognize .gme files as well.
- For Max/Max2 song edits: Once you have a Dex Drive you simply download the .gme file, send it to the ps1 memory card, use the PS2's internal memory card manager to move the ps1 file to the ps2 memory card. Then in DDR Max/Max2, go to the edit mode's 'outside manager', click on the desired file twice and choose import. Bam. Edit bliss.
- The zip files downloaded here contain both a .gme and .mcs verison of the edit.
- These edits will also work on arcade versions of DDR with memory cards.
