Maldred is the younger son; his illigitimate male line still exists in the family of Dunbar. He was Lord of Carlisle and Allendale. He and Ealdgith are given as parents of Gospatrick by "The Prescott Family of America," Doris Cline Ward (2nd Ed., 1977).
