Notes:
All the examples in this presentation are drawn from the Simon System Management system which was developed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Hopefully in this talk we can share some of the lessons we learned and techniques that we developed over the years.
Some of the table definitions and code fragments shown in this presentation have been edited to better fit the slides and improve clarity. For the most part, the actual table definitions and code fragments have been included in the paper that accompanies this presentation. That paper, as well as these slides should be available at http://www.rpi.edu/~finkej/Papers.
All of the Simon table and view definitions, as well as the PL/SQL source code to the packages, procedures and triggers are available at http://www.rpi.edu/campus/rpi/simon/misc/Tables/simon.Index.html .
In general, all of the C source code that goes along with Simon is available for FTP, see the paper for details.
NB: This does not constitute a formal release of Simon, and we are not in a position to package it for formal release, not support it at other sites.
